In accordance with the decision to add one additional weekly flight for the Busan-Saipan route by the disease control authorities and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Air Busan will add one flight a week (Wednesday) for the Busan-Saipan route, for which there was just one flight a week (Sunday) previously, starting on March 16. Air Busan began offering flights between the two regions in late January but had trouble selling tickets, despite the travel bubble (travel safety zone) policy that exempted travelers on these flights from quarantine, because it could only be offered as a 7-night trip due to the limited number of flights a week.

According to the Marianas Visitors Authority, 100% of the Saipan population have had their second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. For Korean travelers entering Saipan, the local PCR test fee will be fully waived until May. They will also be exempted from quarantine upon their return home, as a travel bubble agreement has been signed between the two countries.
