Human Resources Development Project in Tourism Sector

“Human Resources Development in Tourism Sector” is a project that TPO puts great emphasis on. This project was created with the purpose of developing cultural understanding and global awareness among young people and working-level officials who will lead the society in the coming day.
CLIP, so far held under the names of “TPO Youth Multi-Media Culture Camp”, “Discover Asia in Korea”, “Tourism Universiade”, “K-CLIP 2014”, Surabaya-CLIP 2016, and K-CLIP 2016 etc., has gathered a large number of young talents from the Asia Pacific Region over the past few years. Capacity Building Program (CB), in cooperation with Busan IT Promotion Agency (BIPA) since 2022, is to build capacity of working-level officials from member cities by learning cultures and technologies for their tourism industry.

Objectives

  • The main purpose of the program is to give international students the opportunity for better understanding about foreign language, culture and travel. The program is made of lectures, cultural experiences, excursions and field trips, and to give working level officials the opportunity to build their capacity in the tourism industry.
  • The host city can improve its brand recognition.

Program

  • CLIP (Culture Language Immersion Program) - A program in which the participants can learn the language and culture from host city - An opportunity to provide participants with a platform to broaden their network.
  • CB (Capacity Building Program) - Capacity building of working-level officials from member cities - Case study and learning technologies related to the tourism
